Fueling The Transition To Renewable Power.
The 16kWp Hybrid Solar Mini Grid Electrification project in Dodan-Karji Community was successfully implemented by ACOB Lighting Technology Limited, a renowned renewable energy company. The project aimed to provide a reliable and sustainable electricity supply to the previously underserved community.
The primary objective of the project was to install a hybrid solar mini-grid system with a capacity of 16 kilowatts peak (kWp). This innovative system incorporated solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, battery storage, and a backup generator to ensure a continuous and uninterrupted power supply, even during periods of low solar radiation or high electricity demand.
Capacity building and community engagement were integral aspects of the project. ACOB Lighting Technology Limited conducted comprehensive training programs to educate community members on the operation and maintenance of the mini-grid system. This empowered the local residents to actively participate in the management and sustainability of the electrification initiative.
