ACOB Lighting Technology Limited proudly participated in the “Two-day Accelerated Scale-Up of Renewable and Distributed Energy Solutions (DER) in Nigeria Summit”, an event focused on pioneering sustainable energy solutions and fostering collaboration among key stakeholders in the energy sector.
The summit brought together Minigrid developers, regulatory agencies, investors, and energy experts to discuss innovative strategies and investment opportunities to enhance Nigeria’s energy landscape. ACOB Lighting Technology Limited was represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Alexander Obiechina , who played a significant role as a panelist in discussions centered on the DARES Framework (Project Development and Financing) by the Rural Electrification Agency of Nigeria (REA).

The first day of the summit set the stage for dynamic discussions and networking opportunities. The agenda was packed with sessions on the latest advancements in renewable energy technologies, challenges facing the sector, and potential solutions to drive sustainable development. On the second day, the spotlight was on the DARES Framework, a comprehensive approach to project development and financing presented by the Rural Electrification Agency of Nigeria Our CEO, Alexander Obiechina , joined a distinguished panel that included representatives from the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), The World Bank, and RMI. The panel delved into critical aspects of financing renewable energy projects, regulatory support, and the role of Minigrid solutions in achieving Nigeria’s energy goals.
